Some Background...

Robust Review was founded by Mark Boddy, a Licensed Contractor (CA B #1018408) and Certified Construction Manager (CMCI ID#2398) based in California.  After earning a BSME from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN, Mark entered the U.S. Navy's Civil Engineering Corps and worked as a Seabee - benefiting from the Navy's CECOS training in Construction Management.  Later, as a civilian, Mark worked as a Construction Project Manager in Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada on primarily commercial, industrial, educational and medical construction projects, including California DSA and OSHPD projects.

This RFI Looks Familiar...

Like many Construction Project Managers, Mark has spent much of his time writing Requests for Information (RFI's), and preparing Potential Change Order Requests (PCO's) and Change Orders (CO's), in addition to scheduling, estimating, and other standard PM tasks.  From early in his career, Mark found himself asking:

• "Didn't we write this same RFI on the last project?," and
• "Why didn't we see this problem a month or a year ago?," and
• "Do you realize we would have more options and would spend less money and time if someone could find these problems before we began construction?"
